  • DATO was established in 2018 in Vietnam, our brand is inspired by the land of Dak To – a place where precious, rich and natural ingredients converge. We aspire to spread the quintessence of local agricultural products, especially spice products, to the global market.
  • Currently, DATO is the leading exporter of fresh ginger from the fertile Central Highlands. DATO ginger is cultivated on an area of nearly 200 hectares around Ngoc Linh mountain range, with the support of more than 500 farming households, of which 70% are ethnic minorities. We apply chemical-limited farming methods, preserving the characteristic aroma and high essential oil content.
  • Our ginger has reached out to the world, meeting the strict standards of leading international markets such as the US, Australia, Korea, India and many other countries.
  • Beyond exporting raw materials, DATO has made substantial investments in an international-standard deep-processing system, featuring a modern 1,600 m² facility with fully integrated washing, drying, freezing, and packaging lines. We continuously expand our portfolio of value-added products such as ginger tea and herbal infused ginger syrup aiming to bring the authentic flavors of the Central Highlands closer to global consumers.

  • Dak To is a commune located at the foot of the Ngoc Linh Mountain in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. This area is characterized by a highland terrain intertwined with majestic forests, a fresh climate, and significant potential for sustainable agricultural and forestry development.
  • The climate of Dak To follows a tropical monsoon pattern, with distinct rainy and dry seasons. Variations in temperature and rainfall across the seasons create favorable conditions for cultivating spices and medicinal plants such as ginger, chili, turmeric, ginseng, and wild bitter melon—crops well-suited to the nutrient-rich red basalt soil of the highlands.
  • Dak To is home to a large population of ethnic minority groups, including the Xo Dang, Ba Na, and Gia Rai. These communities have lived closely with the land and forests for generations, preserving their unique cultural traditions while actively engaging in green and sustainable economic development initiatives.
  • Leveraging favorable climate conditions and fertile soil, DATO collaborates with over 500 farming households—70% of whom are ethnic minorities—to develop nearly 200 hectares of ginger cultivation near the Ngoc Linh Mountain.

To serve global markets, we’ve built a 1,600 m² processing facility certified with ISO 22000:2018 and FDA compliance, equipped with:

🚿 Ginger washing system (10 tons/day)

❄️ Cold storage (-18°C to -22°C, 300 m², 20 tons/day capacity)

🔥 Drying technology for 10 tons/day capacity

🧼 Strict quality control from farm to export container

DATO’s facility operates three independent production lines, built to international standards to ensure safety and zero cross-contamination:

  • Dry Processing Line: High-capacity washing, drying, shaping, microbial control, and heavy-metal testing before packaging. Capacity: 10 tons/day.
  • Freezing Line: Select raw materials, clean, rapid-freeze, package, and store in modern cold storage.
  • Value-Added Processing Line: Developed by our R&D team, producing premium items like ginger syrup, turmeric syrup, and ginseng syrup for global markets.
